Halo Highlights - #HaloBearerUK Convention Memories
“Survivors Are Gathering”
On February 23rd, Halobearers from across the globe gathered at London Heathrow Terminal 5 for HalobearerUK.
From the Philippines to Brazil, from the United States and Canada, to the many countries of Europe, Sister (and Brother) Warriors heeded the call, packed their bags, and headed to England.
Though the convention only lasted three days, for most of us the journey began well over a year ago with the cancellation of Warrior Nun. And while that campaign has an uncertain ending, it has brought together people from all walks of life and given us the opportunity to make amazing memories.
This convention was only one such memory, but one that will last forever. While meeting the crew and speaking with the cast was incredible it was the Warrior Nun community that made the convention even more special.
Finally putting faces to the screen names meant this campaign has transcended the digital and morphed into something more. The term “Online friends” became simply “friends” or, for some, “family”.
It is these bonds, forged in fire, that remain, even now, months after the convention. These relationships will give us all the passion and creativity we need to continue to fight - for Warrior Nun, yes, but also for representation, inclusion, and acceptance.
The strength of the Warrior Nun community is remarkable.
Never stop fighting.
