LETTER TO MY FELLOW HALO BEARERS (6)

Dear Halo Bearers,

On December 13, 2022, we got the news that Warrior Nun had been cancelled by Netflix after two seasons. This news was announced by Simon, the showrunner, using a sunset picture. On July 28th, 2023, we got our sunrise.

It has been 197 days of tweeting. 197 days of fighting. 197 days of asking "When?" 197 days of hoping. And now, it's mission accomplished. We won!

We deserve this!

15,000,000 tweets. 130,000,000+ signatures on the petition. Ten billboards across three different continents. Thousands of articles. A mention in Empire magazine. Another article on the Empire Magazine website after we got saved. One fan base. We did it!

I would like to thank everybody. Every single one of us. Those of us that have been here since the beginning, those that joined us along the line, those that started and left, EVERYONE. I would like to thank all the teams that made everything run smoothly. This is our win. Thank you all. Thank you all for tweeting aggressively. Thank you for sticking around. Thank you for all the fan arts, the memes, the video edits, the more than 3000 Warrior Nun fanfiction stories, the SMAUS, the delulu theories, the phrase days, the spaces, and most importantly, thank you for keeping hope alive. We would not have gotten here without each and every one of us. But we did.

And it is all thanks to YOU!

After this news, there will be all sorts of rumours, news scoops from ‘anonymous sources’ and all whatnot. We have saved our show. And after our campaign, that is big news. So many articles and news stories will be written about the renewal and later on, about this campaign. Many will say different things. There will be a lot of speculation about the show and its future. There will be speculations on what format Warrior Nun would come back as. In all this, I would like to remind us of something. Simon is our truest source. He has promised us more details. He loves us as much as we love him and has yet to promise us something without delivering. We have had faith in Simon and we have gotten this show back. So let us keep our faith in Simon.

We have saved Warrior Nun and now the question is this. What is next for the fandom? We've accomplished our mission. Now what?

Firstly, we make sure we do not lose the friendships and the community we have formed here. This show brought so many different people together. Many of us have made friends here and some have even met those friends physically. We all came together to save this show and in doing so, we accomplished something even greater. This community of ours. We have saved our show, now, we maintain our togetherness.

Also, there are still so many things to look forward to as a fandom. We have a global fan documentary in the works! Personally, I can't wait to see that. We have Haloed Art, our very own fan art book. We can look forward to the cookbook with all the recipes from so many countries all over the world. We still have even more Newsletter interviews in the works. And now that the show is saved, we might get to see the reaction of the people that will be interviewed to the renewal. Alba's birthday is coming up on July 10th and as a fandom, we are making a donation to The Entertainment Community Fund to support film and television workers during their strike. There will also be a special OCS Newsletter edition for the birthday with messages and fanart from the fandom to Warrior Nun is saved, but the fandom is still going strong!

Now that Warrior Nun is saved, the most important thing for us to do is to keep spreading the word. It is very important that we keep recommending the show to others. Now we know that the Warrior Nun will be back, there is work to be done.  It is up to us to ensure that when Warrior Nun is back,  there are even more viewers than before. It is up to us to show that whoever took this show did not make a mistake. It is up to us to ensure that Warrior Nun is as big of a success as this our campaign.

Dear Halo Bearers, today, in whatever way you can celebrate. Celebrate that we are still here after 200 days. Celebrate our millions of tweets. Celebrate all our billboards. Celebrate the hundreds of articles written about Warrior Nun and our campaign. Celebrate the friendships we have made here. Celebrate our win. Celebrate for Warrior Nun and its future.

Celebrate! You deserve it. We all deserve it.

On my last letter, I left you all with three messages.

Be proud, stay united and keep fighting.

Today, I leave you all with another set of three messages.

Mission accomplished. We won. Celebrate!

In this life,

M.E.Stanley
